Prince George’s County to Hold Virtual Tax Sale Auction

Prince George’s County announces that it will hold its Annual Tax Sale Auction on May 9, 2022. The virtual event invites all investors residing in Prince George’s Country to participate in the auction.

Interested bidders can register via Prince George’s County’s official tax sale website. The Annual Tax Sale requires all interested investors to pay a $150 non-refundable registration fee. Interested bidders are also required to submit a copy of their Maryland Driver’s License as proof of residency.

Interested bidders must also pay a deposit of $1,000 before joining the virtual auction, but Prince George’s County has assured bidders that this will be either applied toward the purchase of tax sales certificates or refunded if the bidder does not win any auctions.

Prince George’s County also reminds interested bidders that all bids are considered final and cannot be withdrawn. In case a bidder will not be able to make full payment, no certificate will be awarded to them. Prince George’s County reserves the right to ban from participating in future tax sales any successful bidder who fails to make full payment before the deadline.

All unpaid property tax accounts are now available on Prince George’s County’s official tax sale website. The final list will be posted on May 6, 2022. Interested bidders are encouraged to browse through all the unpaid property tax accounts now, as acceptance of bids will begin on May 2, 2022.
